The Casio EXILIM ZOOM EX-Z77 is one of the first two digital cameras to offer Casio’s new YouTube Capture mode (the other being the EXILIM CARD EX-S880), which in concert with a bundled software application makes it simple to upload multiple videos at once to YouTube. The Casio EX-Z77 has a sensor resolution of seven megapixels coupled to a lens that has a maximum aperture of f/3.1 – f/5.9 across the zoom range, with a 35mm-equivalent focal length range of 38 – 114mm. There’s no optical viewfinder, with the Casio EX-Z77 instead providing a 2.6″ LCD display with 114,960 pixel resolution.

The Casio EXILIM EX-Z77 has 11.4MB built-in memory, as well as support for SD / MMC / SDHC card storage. Power comes from an NP-20 proprietary Lithium Ion battery. ISO ranges from 50 to 800 with an ISO 1600 high sensitivity mode available, and shutter speeds range from 4 to 1/2000 second.

Other Casio EXILIM ZOOM EX-Z77 features include 41 “Best Shot” scene modes, MPEG-4 H.264 movie mode with resolution up to 848×480 pixels, a digital blur reduction function that uses motion analysis technology, an auto-tracking AF system, and face detection technology. The EX-Z77 ships with a rechargeable lithium ion battery, lithium ion battery charger, AC power cord, USB cable, AV cable, strap and CD-ROM.

The Casio EXILIM ZOOM EX-Z77 will be available from August 2007 at a suggested list price of US$229.99, and color selections will be black, blue, pink and silver.
